Welcome To Tarot Meaning Blog

Although the oldest tarot cards (of which only 17 remain) ever to be discovered was in the 13th century, the origin of the tarot is one of history's unsolved mysteries.

Forecasting probably began with those who had lived long enough to learn that everything in life changes in cycles. The seasons come and go, there are births and burials, the wind's direction swings from north to east, there are plantings and harvests.

The nature of life has a cycle, by observing it, the older generations knew that all setbacks and failures are temporary. They advised their children and grandchildren with sage words like "Everything changes with time".

From there, it is realized that life cycles could be charted, calendars consulted and cards read.

The tarot cards make up one of tools for guidance, encouragement and empowerment that have emerged thru out the centuries.

The tarot composed of Major Arcana and Minor Arcana. The rest of the deck consists of four suits; cups, pentacles, swords and wands.
